This Rotating Cross Optical Illusion Is Breaking Our Brains
Usually we find smoothly animated GIFs of simple shapes to be really satisfying to watch. That is not the case with this monstrosity, which is just shifting our brains into question asking mode.
Is the background black or white? Is there a background at all? Somebody please help us.
We're not experts on how this stuff works. But if we had take a stab, we'd say the force powering this cursed image is a concept called figure-ground organization.
