Forget Everything We Said Before — This Is The Nicest Mid-Century Home We've Ever Seen
We've shared a lot of lovely mid-century homes on Digg over the years, but this one in Pennsylvania could well be the best of them all.
Designed by American architect and furniture designer Adrian Pearsall, and built in 1962 as his family home, the "Pearsall House" is a work of mid-century art.
Measuring in at 7,720 square feet and sitting on more than two acres, the home incorporates a blend of mid-century hallmarks: dark wood paneling and fittings, stone walls both inside and outside, large windows and an abundance of houseplants.
Each room in the home flows into the next, thanks to the open floor plan — and, paired with the many windows and skylights, this makes the place feel bright, spacious and inextricably connected with the outdoors.
The dreamy, pastel-green kitchen needs a shout-out all of its own. I need it.
Last but not least, the property comes with plenty of outdoor space — including three private courtyards, landscaped gardens, a sizable pool and even a tennis court.
