The Best Free Movies You Can Watch On YouTube Right Now
If you want a really sad Valentine's Day, fire up "The Iron Giant" and buy some extra boxes of tissues for all the crying you're going to end up doing.

The following list of movies are all free titles — with ads or ad-free if you pay for the premium YouTube Red. Presumably, most of these will rotate, although a few have stayed around for a while, like several of the films previously listed in roundups. It would be impossible to watch them all in that time — and most of them are bad filler — so here are some recommendations, in no particular order, with honorable mentions (mostly ones we've covered in the past) at the bottom.

'The Iron Giant' (1999)

Brad Bird's directorial debut still might be his best film, which is saying something because he's the man behind the "Incredibles" movies. This is a tremendously sad and memorable animated journey of a boy and his new found pet: A gigantic robot.

'No Country For Old Men' (2007)

The Coen Brothers have decades of movies, and many some consider to be masterpieces. But the one they won a ton of Oscars for was "No Country For Old Men," the adaptation of Cormac McCarthy's novel about a psychopath running around the Texas-Mexico border committing crimes. It all boils down to a briefcase of money that many will die for, a central motif in almost every Coen Bros. plot.

'Drag Me To Hell' (2009)

Sam Raimi heads (myself included) love his horror work with Bruce Campbell in the "Evil Dead" trilogy and the Marvel superheroes. But a forgotten about, little gem of a film is "Drag Me to Hell," which stars the now retired Alison Lohman in her only big screen turn. The less you know about this movie, the better.

'Rain Man' (1988)

The multi-award winning film is possibly one of the last remnants of R-rated blockbuster dramas that aren't based on bloated IPs.

'Gladiator' (2000)

"Gladiator" would have been a recent R-rated adult drama not based on any pre-existing IP that topped out as the highest grossing film of the year, if not for "Mission Impossible 2." Regardless, it won many of the same awards as "Rain Man" — like Best Picture and Best Actor for Russell Crowe. This movie still kicks ass, and there's a sequel coming out later this year! So catch up on the original. It's a little long, but worth your time.
