The following list of movies are all free titles β€” with ads or ad-free if you pay for the premium YouTube Red. Presumably, most of these will rotate, although a few have stayed around for a while, like several of the films in last month's list.

It would be impossible to watch them all in that time β€” and most of them are bad filler β€” so here are some of the best recommendations, in no particular order, with honorable mentions (mostly ones we've covered in the past) at the bottom.

'The Godfather' (1972)

What can we say about the most famous movie ever made that hasn't already been said for 52 years? Nothing. If you haven't experienced Marlon Brando, Al Pacino, Diane Keaton, Robert Duvall and James Caan before in this Italian American crime epic, then you should personally apologize to Francis Ford Coppola and Mario Puzo.

'Lady Bird' (2017)

Despite "Barbie" being the biggest thing on the planet last summer, Greta Gerwig's best film is still "Lady Bird." This breezy, sharp and snarky coming-of-age dramedy shows why Saoirse Ronan's claim of being the best working actress of her generation is warranted, and why Gerwig is one of the best writers and directors in Hollywood right now. A true shame this didn't win more Oscars.

'Forrest Gump' (1994)

Forrest impressions were the hottest thing in pop culture back in 1994. Say the word "Jenny" like Tom Hanks does, talk about boxes of chocolate. The hype carried over to the Academy Awards too, but in recent years there's been a critical reevaluation. Does this movie really hold up? Depends on who you ask.

'Bridge of Spies' (2015)

Hey, another retro period piece with Tom Hanks! This movie is your dad's favorite film, a Cold War thriller about spies that's based on a true story. Catnip for blokes who sit on the couch and watch cable all day. Mark Rylance's Best Supporting Actor win for this movie holds up as strong as ever, he's terrific! But don't get it twisted, this is a really good late era Spielberg film that's co-written by the Coen Brothers. Speaking of which...

'O Brother, Where Art Thou?' (2000)

This is one films that was digitally color corrected, and that iconic sepia-tinted look adds to the old timey feeling the Coen's bring to their retelling of "The Odyssey." While this is a typical and clever Coen comedy, it also came with a huge country album that won Album of the Year Grammy in 2002, a few years after the movie came out. We will always recommend any movie with Holly Hunter and John Goodman in it, automatically.
