If you remember Bernie Sanders's 2016 campaign platform, or Elizabeth Warren's warpath in 2020, or the "Occupy Wall Street" movement from 2008, then you're painfully aware of the galactic-sized gap between CEO pay and average worker pay in America. And that gap has only gotten larger and larger over the past several years, as both the minimum wage and typical salary of the average US worker remains roughly the same despite inflation.
The average US salary is $56,000 a year. This CEO list starts at $99 million a year. The following information comes from CNBC data and from Wall Street Journal reporting. It includes salaries, bonuses, perks and stock options.
