Benny Safdie's upcoming directorial debut feature, a Mark Kerr biopic called "The Smashing Machine," is in development with A24 — and the studio has just released its first image of Kerr's character, who is played by Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.
The film is about Kerr's life and career as an MMA fighter, including his struggles with substance abuse and numerous relationship ups and downs.
The film will also feature Emily Blunt. A release date is yet to be announced.
