Delta Kicks Man Off Flight For Using Bathroom Before Takeoff, Because They Didn't Want United To Have All The Fun
AIRLINES HAVE NO CHILL

After United Airlines' truly horrendous few weeks of PR, Delta decided they want to get in on the fun, kicking a man off an April 18th Atlanta-to-Milwaukee flight for using the bathroom while the plane was taxiing to takeoff — and deboarding the entire plane in the process.

The man, Kima Hamilton, said that he simply couldn't wait to use the restroom, and when he returned to his seat, the flight attendants announced the plane would be returning to the gate to have him removed.

Passenger Krista Rosolino, who filmed the incident, wrote an open letter to Delta expressing her displeasure with the incident

Not only did your staff truly harm and humiliate one person who was forced to pay hundreds of dollars for a new same-day flight, but you forced the rest of us passengers to endure a 2 hour saga of watching a man being targeted for having a bathroom emergency.

You can see Rosolino's videos below, where Hamilton calmly tries to discuss the situation to two different Delta employees:

According to Rosolino, the fellow passengers tried to resist Delta's pressure in solidarity with Hamilton, but ultimately gave in:

Then a flight attendant announced that Delta was making everyone get off the plane. The seat neighbors around us were all astounded and visibly angry at Delta. There was a general talk of no one leaving the plane in support of Nice Gentleman and in rebellion for the terrible treatment by Delta of this man. We eventually deplaned and, in the airport, Nice Gentleman was kept apart from everyone.

Hamilton was forced to buy a new ticket — 3 times more expensive than his original ticket — in order to get to Milkwaukee.

Meanwhile, the PR team at United — which just settled with Dr. David Dao, the passenger they had dragged off a flight — can breathe easy for a day.
