Cognition AI Founders Say Devin Now Provides Infinite Junior Engineers
Co-founder Scott Wu states the AI coding agent has reached sufficient capability after earlier shortfalls.
Cognition co-founder and CEO Scott Wu posted that the company launched Devin in 2024 with a vision of giving every team an infinite army of junior engineers. He said the initial version fell short but now meets that standard. The only remaining limit is ambition. Co-founder Walden Yan described using Devin to review all customer reports daily and pass top feature requests to engineers. Joon Lee, who builds Devin, said two months of daily use has raised his expectations for daily output.
