YouTube recommends force-quitting the app if your feed still looks broken

If YouTube's feed still looks broken on your phone, the company's current advice is simple: fully close the app and open it again. As Android Authority reported, YouTube recommends force-quitting the app from the recent apps screen instead of just backing out to the home screen, then relaunching it.

That applies if you're still seeing blank spaces or missing thumbnails in the feed, based on Android Authority's report.

What YouTube has not explained, according to Android Authority, is what caused the feed-loading issue or whether the fix required an app update or a server-side change.
