Two days in a row we were given a great gift by Lids, the sports merchandise company. This terrific map of the best-selling MLB gear by state shows just how dominant the New York Yankees are in most of the country.
But it's great to see individual states represent their teams, like Arizona and the Diamondbacks, Texas and the Astros (sorry Rangers), and the Midwest teams.
Are you surprised by anything on this map? Lack of Mets in New York? No Phillies for Pennsylvania? No Cubs for Illinois?

As a bonus, here are the best-selling hats as well. No real surprises here, but maybe you think the White Sox are too high and the Mets should be higher than the Pirates. Just some editorializing from me here, a Mets fan.
Interesting note from Lids: the White Sox were No. 3 among all teams in sales. Not surprisingly, the Sox outsold the Cubs in Illinois as well. pic.twitter.com/2UF00cKT0F
