Cadillac gives Colton Herta another Brazilian GP practice outing in bid for F1 superlicence
Herta has 39 of the required 40 superlicence points and needs at least 24 laps in Brazil to earn another.
TLDR
Herta will replace Sergio Perez for his sixth FP1 outing with Cadillac this season. An error on IndyCar's website led the team to overcount his points and believe his Mexico practice appearance would get him to the 40-point threshold. He is a leading contender to replace Valtteri Bottas next season, but needs the superlicence first.
