There are plenty of nice houses in the world, but only some make you say, "if I had $4 million, I would definitely spend it on this house" โ€” and this San Francisco, California, property is one of them.

Built in 1926, the exterior of this two-bed, three-bath is pretty striking as it is, but things only get better โ€” and prettier โ€” inside.

According to the listing, "the vision for the home was crafted over a lifetime of travel, curiosity and exploration" โ€” and as the pictures show, this place is not short on personality.

From stained glass and intricate mosaics to a hand-painting ceiling, the house is covered top to toe in beautiful, ornate detail.

And as if the house wasn't already perfect, this cozy little reading nook with a panoramic view of San Francisco is the stuff of dreams.

Last but not least, there's the massive, decked rooftop overlooking the city and a cute little treehouse-style area tucked away in the garden. Just perfection, really.

I love the view. You can see the entire city by looking out you window.

Seems like a nightmare to clean, but I suppose if you could afford the place you would also be able to afford to hire out

Beautiful! All it needs is a grand piano!

  4. From the view, you can tell this is on the east slope of Twin Peaks. Cool that they were able to schedule the shoot for one of the 45 sunny days a year there.

I prefer simplicity & surfaces, me.

Living in that house would give me a seizure.
