This Award-Winning Home In British Columbia Is On Sale For $8.7 Million. Take A Peek Inside
Hadaway House in Whistler, southwest British Columbia, is the creation of Canada-based architecture firm Patkau Architects. In 2008, the C$11.8 million ($8.7 million) home won the Canadian Architect Award of Excellence β and it's not hard to see why.
Built in 2013, and situated by the Whistler Mountain, home to the Whistler-Blackcomb ski resort, Hadaway House spans almost 5,500 square feet.
With an abundance of windows that invite light in from every angle, the property is bright, spacious, cozy and party-friendly, all at once.
The main level of the house is basically one big, open-plan living area. Up the stairs to the top floor, though, a bridge connects the master bedroom to a nicely isolated study.
And to top it all off, there's an outdoor deck and secluded patio area with a hot tub β both of which provide spectacular views of Whistler Valley.
