The Lede

A Texas man, formerly known as Dustin Ebey, has legally changed his name to "Literally Anybody Else" and is now running for president after officially filing himself with the Federal Election Commission. According to Texas law, an independent candidate needs 113,151 signatures from registered voters who didn't participate in the presidential primary of either party in the state to get printed on the ballot. An uphill task, he's now urging Texas residents to make him a write-in candidate instead.

Key Details

  • Else's background includes teaching stints in North Richland Hills, Texas, and he is an Army veteran.
  • He said his actions represent a broader frustration with America's bilateral political landscape and its lack of benefits for ordinary citizens.
  • Recent polls indicate widespread dissatisfaction among Americans with potential reelection bids for Trump and Biden, with figures showing 56 percent and 58 percent dissatisfaction respectively, emphasizing the need for alternative voices in the presidential race.

This is not helpful, seriously. If you don't like the choices in November, you should have been involved sooner. Is it unfortunate the Republicans are nominating a traitor? Absolutely. Which should be a good enough reason for any person who has a shred of patriotism to vote for Biden.

While I agree that I'm disappointed that my party supports such a evil man like Trump, I can't vote for an senile old man either. So this guy has my vote.
