During the original run of the beloved sitcom "Seinfeld," a script was written for the show that was too dark even for the notoriously boundary-pushing cast. Titled "The Gun/The Bet," it involved Elaine wielding a gun, and jokes were made about noted gun deaths, so it's easy to see why it ended up in the trash.

It was set to air on February 13, 1991, and also included a different first name for Kramer, which was Conrad. Ernie Sabella was supposed to play the purported gun salesman character. Back in January 2014, during a Reddit AMA, Jerry Seinfeld said they scrapped it after a read-through. "Trying to make that funny ended up being no fun," he told a fan.

While this episode has been discussed by cast and crew before, the broader internet hasn't been able to see for themselves just how wild the episode really would have been. Thankfully, a Redditor spent big to grab a copy to share widely, so we can all enjoy this bizarre relic of the '90s.
