Here at Digg, we try our best to cover the most important and confounding memes that come across the timeline. But the web is littered with tons of great memes that never quite hit the mainstream and instead just bounce around the weird corners of Twitter or Reddit. Enter our recurring feature, Memes, Ranked.

This week, we’ve got a negroni, sbagliato, with prosecco in it; an entreaty to check your children’s candy bars this Halloween; and reactions to Mario’s voice in the “Super Mario” trailer.

3. A Negroni. Sbagliato. With Prosecco In It

The meme

Have you been watching “House of the Dragon”? I have not, but I have nonetheless learned a whole lot about it, mainly from Twitter, and specifically from two things on Twitter. One, this tweet, which, having passing familiarity with “Game of Thrones,” tracks:

And second, the meme that started circulating in the wake of this conversation between Emma D’Arcy and Olivia Cooke, the actors who play Princess Rhaenyra and Queen Alicent:

@hbomax I'll take one of each. #houseofthedragon ♬ a negroni sbagliato w prosecco l hbo max - hbomax

A negroni? Sbagliato?? With prosecco in it??? Let’s break this down: a negroni is a classic cocktail comprised of campari, red vermouth and gin. “Sbagliato” is Italian for “mistake” or “broken,” and the story is that someone accidentally grabbed sparkling wine instead of gin while making a negroni and thus created this twist on the cocktail. And prosecco, of course, is Italy’s sparkling wine.

(One note: a lot of outlets are saying that specifying “with prosecco” for a negroni sbagliato is redundant, since “sbagliato” is the term you’d use for a negroni with sparkling wine instead of gin. But there are a great many sparkling wines out there, so while you should probably just ask a bartender for a “sbagliato” and go with it, technically there’s nothing wrong with specifying which sparkling wine you want in your sbagliato, if you’re bent on having prosecco in it.)

But it’s not just the drink, which sounds very good, that turned this into a meme: it’s the power of D’Arcy, too, whose captivating screen presence and compelling voice has sent fans — particularly their queer fans — sprinting to the bar to order their drink of choice.

2. Please Check Your Child’s Halloween Candy

The meme

The scariest time of the year is upon us everyone, and no I’m not talking about tax season! Halloween brings satanic panic, parents who watch Fox News being afraid of rainbow fentanyl, and the ages old fear of razor blades being hidden inside of candy and chocolate bars. Despite zero evidence of any of those above things being true (kids hit by cars are more actually threatening), that won’t stop boomers from fretting over the dangers of the holiday. So let’s find out what other memes are inside of a Snickers or Milky Way Bar this year, folks!

1. Mario’s Voice

The meme

On Thursday, a teaser trailer for “The Super Mario Bros. Movie” was released that revealed what Mario — voiced by Chris Pratt — would sound like in the film. And it turns out he sounds like… Chris Pratt. Check it out below.

People’s reactions to Mario’s new voice ranged from bemused to unimpressed to furious — and many pointed out how funny it was that Pratt had previously talked about working hard on the character, only for it to sound just like his normal speaking voice.

Then, naturally, the memes came thick and fast.
