Here at Digg, we try our best to cover the most important and confounding memes that come across the timeline. But the web is littered with tons of great memes that never quite hit the mainstream and instead just bounce around the weird corners of Twitter or Reddit. Enter our recurring feature, Memes, Ranked.

This week, we've got a guy who's tried 100 things, a guy who's tried 1,000 things, Golden Retriever boyfriends and Britney Spears' dirt on JT.

3. Guy who's tried 100 things

The Meme

Everybody loves to make up a guy. And a guy can truly be anything you want them to be.

In the tradition of the 10,000-hour practice mark, or whatever Malcolm Gladwell popularized, "a guy who's tried 100 things" was created, along with his nemesis, "a guy who’s tried 1,000 things." A quick one-two jab between the two, these posts seem like a natural extension of the age-old proverb of guys being dudes.

2. Golden Retriever boyfriend

The meme

According to the internet, a Golden Retriever boyfriend is "a significant other that is easygoing and makes it fairly simple to maintain a happy and fulfilling relationship." Just like a Golden Retriever, "they require little to make them happy. They just want to know they're loved and receive plenty of affection." Cute, if not a little patronizing.

The "Golden Retriever boyfriend" meme dates back to at least 2021, but it's had a resurgence on X over the past week — though this time, people aren't being as kind to your puppy-like BF as they would be to a real dog.

1. Britney Spears' memoir (or, technically, Justin Timberlake)

The meme

Britney Spears just released a memoir titled "The Woman in Me," and the internet has been very excited about it. Sure, they want to know what makes the iconic pop star tick, but they're mostly here to dunk on Justin Timberlake.

The two high-profile singers, once a couple, were the subject of much media attention early in their careers, so all those folks who grew up idolizing them are absolutely feasting on all the dirty laundry. Even better, the audiobook as performed by Michelle Williams is an absolute treat for those thirsting for "tea."

And if you're hungry for more memes, here's the last edition of "The Week's Best Memes," where we were naming rocks, getting tired of Jada Pinkett Smith "revealing" things and enjoying Pete Davidson playing a Swiftie.
