grimace shakes for everyone!
The Miracle Mets Win Streak Is All Thanks To... Pride Month And Grimace?
June is Pride Month, a celebration of LGBTQIA+ people, and Major League Baseball teams participate in the festivities each year. It's also when one team does surprisingly well.
The New York Mets, everybody's favorite team I'm sure, had a losing record from March to May, a really rough opening to the season — considering how much the team costs.
But, the mood has turned around drastically in June thanks to a few wins. Winning is be contagious and since May 30, the Mets are 12-4. Fans had only one possible answer as to why the team suddenly started doing so well.
It had to be Pride Month!

But, that's not the whole story, and you might be wondering why your X timeline is filled with images of Grimace wearing a baseball cap.
No, the Grimace shake isn't back at McDonald's, he's now become Mets fans' new adopted mascot.
On June 12, a day that (hopefully) us Mets fans remember until we die, Grimace the purple blob monster came out to throw the first pitch. The team hasn't lost since, and fans are attributing this sudden change in luck to the energy that Grimace provided us.
All hail Grimace, the new face of New York baseball.
In the same spirit as the Amazin’ Mets of 1969, who had the most improbable turnaround in MLB history, going from mediocre to winning the World Series, this Mets squad should really ride the wave of the "gay Grimace Mets," as they're now known.
It's not just a regular six-game winning streak, it's turned into something more, similar to how New York City lit up during Linsanity, when the Knicks's Jeremy Lin became the hottest player in the NBA overnight.
I haven't seen New York City energized and happy about something like this in years. Thanks to Jalen Brunson and the Knicks for having a blazing hot spring, and now it's all about Grimace and the Mets beating teams silly during Pride Month.

Steve, this is Grimace. Hes a fast food mascot. Hes one of the most undervalued brands at McDonalds. His defect is that he doesnt play baseball. Nobody in the big leagues cares about him because he looks funny. This guy could not just be good luck but could start a winning streak pic.twitter.com/EiGX8qWhzu
