kick-ass? Kraven? quicksilver? Bond?
Aaron Taylor-Johnson Might Be The Next James Bond, And The Internet Obviously Has Hot Takes
Time to send up the smoke signals at Buckingham Palace, a new James Bond has been selected, if the numerous reports are to be believed. The 33-year-old actor and action film star is not only the front runner, but allegedly has the contract sitting on a desk, waiting for his signature.
Taylor-Johnson is no stranger to the world of big budget, franchise movie making; he starred in "Kick-Ass" as a youngster, found himself in "Avengers: Age of Ultron" and followed that up with "Bullet Train." He's also got "Kraven the Hunter" coming out later this year.
So what do netizens think? Some are excited and impressed, others think it's a boring ho-hum choice, especially when other obvious standouts could've been in the picture — will screaming Idris Elba's name from the rooftops in England work? From quips to snubs, here's how people reacted.

Aaron Taylor-Johnson is British Jai Courtney, I have zero interest in him as Bond https://t.co/lbkaebhbAI

I don’t care if they never make another Bond movie but Aaron Taylor-Johnson is exactly the kind of actor who should get the part: charismatic but forgettable, no big loss if he gets stuck in franchise-land for the next 20 years
