Nvidia announces 2X-faster DLSS 5 model with 20% lower 4K VRAM use

Nvidia says its October DLSS 5 update halves the GPU overhead of the 3D-Guided Neural Rendering model and lowers 4K VRAM use by 20%. The model reaches NBA 2K27 on October 16, Hogwarts Legacy on November 5 and Where Winds Meet later in November, while developers get controls intended to preserve each game’s visual style.
