The Coalition said in a Sep. 30, 2026 official update for Gears of War: E-Day that the game will have at least five post-launch seasons.

That update said the studio wanted to share more about what players can expect in Season 1 and give a sneak peek at Season 2. In the same post, The Coalition identified Season 1 as Emergence, said Season 2 is called Legacy, and named Season 3 as Infiltration, Season 4 as Pendulum, and Season 5 as Devotion.

The official post also added more detail about the first two seasons. According to The Coalition, Season 1 kicks off with early access and runs for eight weeks until Dec. 1. The studio also said Season 2, Legacy, will be dedicated to the franchise's 20th anniversary.
