A perfect score that did not stay frozen
On October 16, Rotten Tomatoes said You Can See Everything had become the first wide release of 2026 to earn Certified Fresh status with a perfect 100% Tomatometer score, based on at least 80 reviews. FilmUpdates also described the documentary as the year's highest-rated film on both Rotten Tomatoes and Metacritic.
The figures were already moving as more reviews arrived. A later Rotten Tomatoes listing showed 99% from 98 critic reviews, plus a 9.30 out of 10 average among reviews that supplied a numerical or letter rating. Separate posts gave the Metacritic score as 97 and 98, so the precise cross-platform ranking is best understood as a dated snapshot, not a permanent record.
What the documentary follows
Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim's A24 documentary begins 34 days before Elizabeth Holmes is sent to prison, when she invites a skeptical film crew to document her every move. A24 says the project grows from that intimate setup into a three-year journey. The film opened wide on October 16.
