+Although interesting, your take on why the change in course is totally wrong. The primary reason it is such a horrible change is that if left to its own devices, the Mississippi River would completely destroy the Atchafalaya Swamp and the natural resources found there. Agreed, the Army Corps of Engineers was simply carrying out one its regular destructive actions when it cut the new channel, but the loss of jobs and water to the main channel would not be the worst loss, at least not in my opinion. Many reports and documentaries have already been done on this to show the real story. Yours, sadly, is not even close to reality.
Your presentations on the flow of the Mississippi River was interesting, but I don't think the "cutesy" helps. The presentations is serious and should be made seriously.
