Domonique Brown was recently fired from her teaching position at Taylor Preparatory High School in Michigan. A former teacher of the month, Brown claims she was terminated because of her rap career and music videos. She says a parent complained about her rap videos, leading to meetings with school administrators.

Brown was then given an ultimatum to erase all her rap-related content, which she refused and she was ultimately fired in February. Now, students have gathered over 200 signatures to bring her back and Brown is considering legal action regarding her termination. While Brown recognizes her lyrics do contain profanity, she remains firm in her believe that it does not interfere with her positive impact on both the students and the community.
