When it comes to dental coverage, Dr. Mohiuddin explains that the lack thereof has contributed to rising dental-related deaths. Looking at the costs, the United States would need to spend about a billion to add dental coverage to 28 states through Medicade. However, the cost of not doing so is already costing taxpayers hundreds of millions every year as poor dental health can lead to other costly health-related issues.
