Using Forbes data from late last year, Visual Capitalist has presented the world's 15 most valuable sports teams in the graphic below.

The sports team with the highest value overall is the NFL's Dallas Cowboys, at $9 billion. In fact, NFL teams dominate the ranking, taking up nine of the 15 spots on the list.

The second-most valuable team in the world is the MLB's New York Yankees, with a valuation of $7.1 billion. The Yankees are the only Major League Baseball team in the top 15.
