It might surprise you to learn that, according to a 2021 survey, a considerable 10 percent of Americans believe the earth is flat. But where in the US do these conspiracy theorists reside?

BetKentucky tried to find out, by analyzing Google search data for terms like "flat earth," "flat earthers" and "the earth is flat" between August 2022 and August 2023. They then ranked the US states according to which had the most and least flat earth-related searches for every 10,000 residents.

Key Findings:

• Alaskans are the most curious about the flat earth theory overall, with 314.33 searches per 10,000 people over the past year. Colorado and Wyoming follow closely behind.

• The state that's least interested in the theory is New Jersey. People living there made just 178.40 flat earth-related searches for every 10,000 residents.
