Over the course of the past 60 years, human migration has made huge changes to the populations of countries around the globe. While some places grow tremendously with new residents, others suffer huge losses during times of hardship โ€” especially war.

By using data from The World Bank, Redditor u/oscarleo0 was able to chart which countries around the world have the highest and lowest net migration from 1960 to 2022. It shouldn't surprise anyone that the US is on top, but the gulf between the first and second spot is vast.

As you can see, the United States has absorbed more than Germany, Russia, Canada and Australia combined. Meanwhile, Bangladesh, Pakistan and China have seen the lowest net migration over those decades.
