There have been 57 Super Bowls, one each year since 1967. And with Super Bowl 58 coming up this weekend, we wondered which companies have had the most commercials for the big show β€” dating back all six decades. WizardPins's graphic not only charted the top 30 most common brands to appear during commercial breaks, but also noted down how much they've spent.

Key Findings:

  • Showing up almost three times a Super Bowl, Budweiser dominates the list. Usually, it's by giving us a big Clydesdale ad, and then another commercial featuring Bud Light or one of their spin-off beverages.

  • The Pepsi vs. Coca-Cola feud stays alive thanks to the Super Bowl, as both brands made the top five. It's interesting that Pepsi has had nearly double the amount of Coke Super Bowl ads β€” probably because they want to close the gap against the most popular soda in the world.

  • Other than fast food, snacks and drinks, car brands dominate the top 30 list. The most common commercials come from the likes of Ford, Toyota, Dodge, Hyundai and Chevrolet.

  • The cost of a 30-second Super Bowl commercial in 1967 was $40,000. Adjusted for inflation, that's around $326,950 today. In 2021, the cost ballooned to a new high of $5.5 million dollars.
