American And Global Industries Hiring The Most People, Mapped
If you're on the grind looking for a new job, you should see which industries are hiring the most in your country. But if you really need that job in internet publishing, then you should consider making the move to Switzerland.
The folks at Resume.io went through job listings on LinkedIn (as of June 2023) and did the math to see which industry had the most open jobs in each country (as available). They put together some excellent data visualizations, and now we know that software developers are a hot commodity in Uruguay.
Key Findings:

IT Services and Consulting and Staffing and Recruiting are the top industries in hiring, each leading in 28 countries.

In the US, Restaurants take up the biggest slice of the pie with 7.86 percent of the market. Non-Profit Organizations and Motor Vehicle Manufacturing are next in line with 5.59 percent and 4.41 percent, respectively.

While there is plenty of overlap to be seen, a few other countries stick out: Iceland needs positions filled in Higher Education, Paraguay is hiring for Telecom jobs and both Iraq and Kuwait are on the Defense and Space Manufacturing tip.
