Alarms started ringing last year when we were seeing record-high temperatures in our oceans. Unfortunately, it seems that the trend has continued into the early months of 2024 as well.

Redditor u/SPY225 took data from The Climate Analyzer and made a lovely chart to show how massive the recent increase in temperature has been.

As you can see, the line has already cracked 21.2 degrees Celsius (70.16 degrees Fahrenheit), already higher than last year's peak. If the trend continues, we're in for even more record-breaking weather that serves as a dark omen for how well we're doing as Earth's stewards.
