To find out how the annual cost of taking a daily hot shower differs across the globe, QS Supplies looked at the electricity and water usage prices of 89 countries and ranked them from most to least expensive.
They also compared the annual cost of showering to the average yearly income in each country to find out where in the world showering is most and least affordable.
Key Findings:

Across the 89 countries in the study, the average price of a warm shower is $260 a year.

People in Denmark pay more than any other country for a year of daily hot showers, at $804.

The UK has the ninth-highest annual cost for a daily shower ($573) of any country, while the US is the 36th-priciest (264).

The lowest yearly costs are found in Egypt and Suriname, where people pay just $33 to have a hot shower every day.

Rwanda is home to the least affordable shower costs, with a year of hot showers costing 46.17 percent of the average annual income.

Annual shower costs are most affordable in Norway, where they constitute just 0.31 percent of locals' average yearly income.
