Using Forbes data, the Genuine Impact team visualized the 10 biggest industries for billionaires in 2023.

The top industry overall is finance and investment, with 14 percent of billionaires making their riches there. Manufacturing and technology are the next safest ways to get mega-wealthy; 12 percent of the world's billionaires come from these industries.

Perhaps surprisingly, the smallest share of billionaires got rich from media and entertainment (three percent), with Bloomberg co-founder Michael Bloomberg making the most money of anyone in the industry.
