RIP MY MONEY

Well, well, well, if it isn't Tim Cook out for my money once again. At today's Spring Loaded event, Apple announced a slate of new products, including a new iPad Pro, a new iMac and AirTags. There was more stuff, but honestly who cares because they also announced… a purple iPhone.

No, I don't need a new iPhone, and no, I don't expect a shiny new Apple product to satisfy me and solve all my problems… but, like, this one honestly might?

As absurd as it is that we all go nuts over the newest Apple products — even when they occasionally look absolutely ridiculous — they're also undeniably appealing.

But first and foremost, we all must acknowledge the breakout star of the event was Tim Cook's grin.

Other popular reactions to the purple iPhone included the inevitable comparison to the Game Boy Color.

Others had deja vu about the design of the new iMacs.

Overall, the presentation seemed to win over Apple fans, who tweeted that they couldn't wait to shell out the big bucks for the new purple smartphone and shared memes about how their bank accounts would soon be depleted.
