• Topics must be relevant to Vancouver or nearby regions.
• Use descriptive titles. No clickbait or emoji bait.
• Link primary sources where possible. No misinformation; extraordinary claims need credible sources.
• Opinions must be labeled and reasoned. Low effort rants will be removed.
• No spam, self-promotion, referral, or affiliate links without mod approval.
• Be civil. Attack ideas, not people. No harassment or bad faith trolling.
• No brigading, vote manipulation, or targeted calls to action.
• Duplicate or low value posts may be removed at moderator discretion.
• Breaking news may be removed if misleading or outdated.
As moderators, we promise to do our best efforts to:
• Explain applied rules when asked.
• Notify on removals or locks.
• Enforce rules consistently and proportionally.
• Review appeals in good faith and correct mistakes.
• Focus on behavior, not beliefs, and limit intervention in good-faith discussion.
