I rented a car in South Africa and drove around. These are some of the things I safely saw from the driver's seat.

Doing a self-drive safari is probably easier and less expensive than you think.Actually, the more time you spend in for example Kruger National Park, the better your deal will be. Buy an annual national park pass ("The Wild Card") instead of paying per day makes the average price

In some places you drive very, very close to the river and various small lakes.

Keep your distance, unless you want to be creative with your insurance claim. These guys kick.

The species homo sapiens sapiens, opting for not self-driving. No shame in that.

A fat leopard just hanging in a tree next to the road.

Sometimes there are road blocks. Do not be aggressive.

Suddenly a wild giraffe appears. The End.

Lakes District, Chile

One of my all time favorite places. Just got to visit for the first time for a few days in October-November. It was a surprise for me that I’ll never forget since I was only expecting to visit family who lived there.

Gotta love Svalbard

A few glimpses from my favorite getaway place, Longyearbyen in the high north of Norway. Incredible landscapes, easily accessible with daily flights from Oslo, and the feeling of not being quite on top of the food chain any more. :) Ask me anything about this place!
