Study: Cannabis Provides Sustained Relief for Patients With Treatment-Resistant Depression

This study published in the Journal of Affective Disorders shows that patients with treatment-resistant depression experienced sustained improvements in depression, anxiety, health-related quality of life, and sleep after using medical cannabis. The UK Medical Cannabis Registry study followed 698 patients over 24 months, finding significant improvements especially within the first three months. Few adverse events were reported, and further trials are needed to confirm efficacy and safety.
