What do you call residents of each state? Some states are fairly straight forward e.g. New Yorker or Californian, but others are head-scratchers. 

Natalie Jackson, research director from the nonpartisan research nonprofit PRRI, was curious about what the official demonyms were that the United States government recognized and after some Googling found an official document delineating each. View full image here.

 

Did you know a resident from Michigan was officially a Michiganian and not Michigander? Me neither. And a shout out to Indiana, the only state where the demonym does not include the name of the state.
