DIGG PICKS

Sleek on the outside, complex on the inside. No, it's not your profile on Match, it's a day pack from WANDRD, a Utah based travel gear company. The DUO Daypack is their fifth bag launched on Kickstarter and if you're someone who really likes the idea of a place for everything and everything in its place, this will appeal. The sleekness comes courtesy of their "infinite zip" weatherproof zipper. It runs from the bottom of one side, up around the top and down the other side. With four zipper slides, you can open just the top to get at your laptop from the padded sleeve, open the sides for quick access to your other stuff, or unzip it all the way, opening the bag like a traveling salesman's sample case.

Inside there are mesh pockets, zippered pockets, padded pockets, elastic cord organizers, even a pop-up cube that protects your gear — cameras, lenses and other valuable/crushable stuff. On the outside, an expandable water bottle pocket will hold a standard Nalgene bottle, while the eight anchor points accommodate the (optional) accessory straps for external-carry of the big stuff. There's a front-panel book pocket and a hidden passport pocket at the back. It's weather-resistant (they tried spraying it with a pressurized hose and the innards stayed dry) and comes with a lifetime guarantee. Back it now on Kickstarter and you should be deciding which stuff goes in which pocket by December.
