SUPER MOSH BROS

โ€‹A large part of the Nintendo Switch's breakthrough success can be attributed to the console's portability. You can either play it in the dock like a traditional video game console, or you can take it out of the dock, attach two controllers, known as Joy-Cons, and take your favorite hobby with you almost anywhere.

You can even take it to a hardcore show and mosh with it, as one fan demonstrated during Georgia-based band Vatican's set on Saturday at Life and Death Brigade Fest, a two-day hardcore festival in Louisville, Kentucky.

Kudos to this man, for not being afraid of showing his love for both hardcore music and video games. And kudos to Nintendo's design team for passing the Spin Kick Test.

Now, you might think that this is just one fan who brought his Switch to the show, but it turns out he wasn't alone, based on a video Vatican posted to Twitter, allegedly right before our man opened up this pit.

Gamers rise up, indeed.

Update: Digg Associate Editor and Nintendo Switch owner Mat Olson points out that the Joy-Con controllers "aren't that secure" and that moshing in this manner does pose a real risk of sending the controllers flying. As far as we can tell, this did not happen in this particular instance and no one was harmed. Still, proper moshing, while an aggressive and chaotic form of dancing, demands a respect and care for those around you in the pit. Please keep this in mind.
