DREAMS DO COME TRUE

Philadelphia Phillies legend Chase Utley had his jersey retired at Citizen's Bank Park in Philadelphia on Friday and a dream was finally beautifully realized at the ceremony.

Rob McElhenney, who plays Mac on the cult TV series "It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia" was on hand to catch the first pitch.

For those unfamiliar with the backstory, on an episode of the show, Mac reveals that he was Utley's biggest fan and wrote a fan letter requesting a meeting.

"It would be great to have a catch," Mac writes.

A few years later, Utley responded back in a "Phillies Mailbag" segment.

"Meeting you and having a game of catch sounds like a lot of fun but I'm really busy playing a lot baseball for the Phillies," Utley said.
