​A smooth join is a woodworking achievement, but if you're not adept at crazy Japanese joinery, the Invis magnetic drill allows you to do seamless, invisible joins like this: 

 

It appears the drill only works with special screws made by the drill's maker:  

The rotating magnetic field of the actuator turns the screw inside the joiner. The fine thread is screwed into the threaded bolt in the opposite part to ensure a tight connection.
