New Year's Eve can be a complicated holiday. But Twitter has an idea about how to usher in 2018 in the best way. All it takes is some careful timing.

On Saturday December 16, Twitter user @tmcripple (a normal, non-internet celebrity with 1,759 followers) had a big idea and floated it by the internet: sync up up the start of the new year with the very best part of Evanescence's 2003 classic, "Bring Me to Life."

if you play "bring me to life" by evanescence at exactly 11:59:08 on new years eve, the first "wake me up" will play at exactly midnight. start off your new year right
