'ADDRESS THESE ISSUES HEAD ON'
·Updated:

The nation was left grieving yesterday after Omar Mateen took the lives of 49 people at an Orlando gay club. As the country mourns, however, this election cycle's presidential candidates have gotten to work addressing how they'll prevent attacks like this in the future.

Today, Donald Trump gave a speech in reaction to the massacre — sympathizing with the LGBT community saying the attack was "assault on the ability of free people to live their lives, love who they want and express their identity." He also used the opportunity to call for a ban immigration from areas with a proven "history of terrorism against the United States," saying "the only reason the killer was in America in the first place was because we allowed his family to come here."  You can watch the whole speech below.
