According to a New York Times report, Reddit, Meta, and Google have voluntarily complied with some of the Department of Homeland Security's (DHS) administrative subpoenas for identifying details of users critical of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). These subpoenas, which do not come from judges, have targeted users whose posts criticized ICE or pointed to the locations of ICE agents. The companies involved have stated that they notify users of these requests and give them a 14-day window to fight the subpoena in court before complying.
