Apple releases HomePod 27.2 with Sound Glow

9to5Mac reports that HomePod 27.2 brings Sound Glow to the second-generation HomePod and HomePod mini, with support for the upcoming HomePod mini 2. The update also adds an option to disable touch controls and lets Macs with Wi-Fi 6E or later use HomePods as their default speakers. It adds support for four-speaker surround sound with the fourth-generation Apple TV 4K, though 9to5Mac says users must wait for that device to arrive on November 13 to try it.
