Shopify Reports $116B Q2 Merchant Sales Up 32%

Tobi Lütke posted that Shopify had a good quarter and linked to results showing $116 billion in merchant sales, a 32% increase year over year. Revenue reached $3.6 billion, up 34%, with free cash flow at $654 million and an 18% margin. David Heinemeier Hansson wrote that the platform now exceeds a billion dollars in sales per day on average, all running on Ruby on Rails. Jason Lemkin replied that the quarter was fire.
