Latent Space is planning a third version of its AINews product and a broader home for its growing collection of technical AI podcasts, newsletters and analysis.
In a September 25 note, co-founder Shawn “swyx” Wang describes the publication as moving beyond a single show and newsletter toward a network spanning AI research, science, food and field-deployed engineering.
AINews v3 will keep a human editorial layer
Wang says the current opinion section remains human-authored while the daily news product is assembled with automated help. The next version is intended to improve that system without removing the human editorial voice that frames the day's developments.
The expansion follows growth across Latent Space's podcasts and video channels. The company points to recent AI-for-science programming and new shows as evidence that the original publication now supports a wider set of audiences than its existing site structure was built to serve.
Supabase becomes the first sponsor
Latent Space also named Supabase as its first sponsor under the new plan. The publication intends to interview the company's founders and cover its path as a remote, open-source database business.
The sponsorship is part of the business model for the expanded network, not an independent endorsement of every Supabase product claim. The note does not provide a launch date or complete specification for AINews v3 or the new site. It establishes the direction, initial sponsor and editorial ambitions, while the implementation details remain to come.
