OpenAI launches GPT-6 Sol and Luna with lower API prices
OpenAI lists Sol at $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens. Luna costs $0.10 and $0.50, respectively. Both are below their GPT-5.6 promotional rates.

OpenAI says both models are available through its API and rolling out in ChatGPT Work and Codex for Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise and Edu users—not Chat. Free and Go users can access Luna in the desktop app.
The company also says developers can now change reasoning effort and tool availability without breaking reuse of previously cached context.
