Creators Flag Paid Bot Retweets on Startup Launches
Lulu Cheng Meservey receives bot retweets after criticizing fake engagement on launches.
Lulu Cheng Meservey posted that criticizing fake RT bot farms triggers floods of fake retweets that wreck her mentions. Gergely Orosz replied that he receives many DMs and emails from sketchy creator agencies offering paid retweets or quote tweets for startup launches on specific dates, without regard to the product. He mentioned one agency, Atomik Growth, that offers a clipping service to pay people for retweets and maintains case studies of launches on its site. Other replies noted templated cinematic videos paired with low-quality bot accounts from developing countries as signals of inauthentic companies.

GO Gergely Orosz@GergelyOroszLulu is right: I get *so many* DMs and emails about sketchy “creator agencies” asking how much for a QT or RT a launch of a startup that raised $$. They give you the date and the account handle to RT, without even knowing what it is. I never do this but the volume is ⬆️ ⬆️ ⬆️

They also have case studies of fake launches…
